‘Project Complete’ Celebration Stats
As if ticking off a completed project in your sewing organiser app wasn’t exciting enough already! We’ve added a confetti animation to help you celebrate, plus some stats about the project you just finished!
If you tap on the ‘Share Project’ button, the app will create a cute sharable graphic. You have the option to download it or share it via other apps on your phone. Make sure to tag us @stash_hub if you’re sharing on Instagram – we want to celebrate your latest make too!
Improvements to Notions
We’ve made some BIG changes to the Notions section. The Notions home screen is more visual, showing thumnails of each notion type. You can bulk upload notions from the home screen and add new notion types. From within each notion type you can add individual items or haberdashery.
One of the handiest updates we’ve made is adding the ability to filter notions. This makes it super speedy to check whether you have the right colour buttons you need for your project.
I’ve uploaded all my thread, buttons and labels to Stash Hub. It’s really handy to have my sewing organiser app handy when I’m out fabric shopping, as I can easily check if I have the notions I need for my new project idea.
Easier to view used fabric and completed projects
Your feedback genuinely does help make Stash Hub the best sewing organiser app! Previously, there was a tick symbol at the top of the Fabrics and Projects sections that would take you to the used fabric or completed projects, but it wasn’t clear enough. We listened and have added a new filter at the top to help you switch between your used and unused fabrics and see your completed sewing projects.
The Sort options have also been renamed to make it more obvious how records will be ordered. Sign up to Stash Hub Plus for more advanced filtering options.
More Fabric Status Options
We have added ‘Preordered’ as a fabric status option. We hope this will encourage you to log fabric whilst you’re waiting for it to arrive!
‘Destashed’ has also been added as a fabric status option, if you want to keep a record of fabric you have rehomed. The fabric cataloguing process may help you identify fabric you don’t plan to use – it doesn’t have to sit unloved in your stash! Destashing via Instagram is a popular option, or for UK sewists there is a new destash platform called The Maker’s Web. Stash Hub also supports the GRA refugee sewing project, where UK sewists can send fabric donations. Read our previous post for more details.
Record and Filter Fabric by Stretch Percentage
Do you love sewing with knits? Some patterns have minimum stretch percentage requirements, so this addition makes it easy to see if you’ve got what you need in your stash.
This is another example of how Stash Hub is a sewing organiser app created by community. You asked for stretch percentage – you got it! The best way to get in touch is to email us hugetoothstudios@gmail.com or join our amazing Facebook Group!
Assign Projects to Multiple Seasons
There’s an option to filter projects by season – but what if you’re creating a transitional piece that you could wear over multiple seasons? We have updated the season selector in Projects so now you are able to select more than one season.
Now the weather is turning, are you starting on your autumn sewing projects?
Labels Indicate Project Status
We can’t take the credit for this one, this idea was from the members of our Facebook community, the Stash Hub Club. The addition of little colour coded labels means it is easy to see whether fabric and patterns are assigned to projects at a glance. The green label indicates project complete, orange is currently in progress and pink is in planning.
This way you’ll be able to easily spot which fabric you haven’t assigned to a project yet, when you’re suddenly hit by inspiration. It’s also good for spotting TNT (tried and true) sewing patterns – just look out for the row of green labels!
Stash Hub: Sewing Organiser App is available on iOS, Android and Web. Stash Hub is run by husband and wife team Doug and Yvette and we are working hard to add new updates and keep improving the app. Check out what’s next here.
