Stash Hub Update – Precuts

The first of our birthday updates is here! This one has been on the roadmap for far too long, but you can now save your fabric precuts in Stash Hub. This includes things like fat-quarters, jelly rolls and more. So quilters and sewists rejoice and find out more about the latest update (1.28.0) below.

How to add Precuts

Precuts are the added in the same way as Fabrics, by tapping the plus button in the bottom right and then selecting ‘Add New’. The new update has a toggle in the Fabric which allows you to switch between “Length” and “Precut“. When you select ‘Precut’ there is a drop-down that allows you to select which type of precut you’d like to add. We’ve included the most common options for quilting precuts in this list. Purchase Quantity and Remaining Quantity fields allow you to record the number of units you have. You could add a 6 fat quarter bundle as a single record with a purchased quantity of 6, or add each fat quarter as an individual record. As always, Stash Hub is your tool and it’s up to you how you prefer to use it. The Price units dropdown has the option to record the price per unit (Each) or the total price of the bundle (Total).

Of course, you can create Stash Hub projects using your quilting precuts. Projects allows you to add multiple fabrics to a single project, which is ideal if you’re using multiple precut fabrics for a patchwork sewing project. Stash Hub Plus subscribers can use the filters to filter their stash for different types of precuts. Stash Hub plus subscriptions are 50% off the first billing period for all new subscribers until the end of November, so now is the time to sign up!

Also in this update

  • Fabric Price can now be set to “Total” (as well as “per Metre” or “per Yard”) – this is handy if you’ve purchased remnants and don’t want to work out the cost per metre.
  • A few minor bug fixes
  • Changes to Project UX – Instead of pressing and holding on a linked record, there are now visible buttons to feature (heart) or remove (cross) the record from the project.
