New Stash Hub Community Forum

To better serve all of you, our amazing community, we’ve created a new forum for Stash Hub! This platform is designed to give you a better experience: organised topics, no algorithms, and open to everyone! 🎉

We have a really active community in the Stash Hub Club group on Facebook. We really love seeing what you’ve made and hearing about how the Stash Hub app has inspired you. It has also been such a useful space for discussing your ideas about future updates. While the Facebook group will stay open for now, we encourage you to join us in the new forum.

Why we’ve created the forum

We know it can be a pain to move platforms, and we haven’t taken this decision lightly. Here are a few reasons why we believe this change is the best for the community:

• More Customisation: The forum allows us to create spaces tailored to your needs and interests. This is a space for you.

• Open to Everyone: Not everyone has Facebook or wants to use it. By moving to a forum, we’re creating a space that anyone can access, no matter their social media preferences.

• Freedom from Facebook/Meta: We want to offer a platform that’s independent of large corporations.

• No Algorithms: See posts in chronological order and never miss an update from the community.

• Better Search: Easily find past posts, tips, and discussions.

How to use the Stash Hub forum

Join the forum by creating your account at forum.stashhubapp.com. This is separate from your Stash Hub account.

Select ‘Topics’ for a chronological feed of topics (posts) in the forum. You can tab between ‘Latest’, posts you haven’t seen yet in ‘New’ and use the filters if there are specific categories and tags you’re interested in.

You can also browse the categories in the menu on the left. A turquoise dot will appear next to categories with new topics – you can see there are unread topics in ‘Projects’ in the screenshot below.

Click ‘New Topic’ to start a new conversation or you can open a topic to read it in full, add reactions and join the conversation. We’ve already seen some amazing discussions and advice threads on the new forum.

You can insert images in between text in your Topics posts. So far we’ve seen Topics like mini blog posts, showcasing a number of recent makes with descriptions of each project. This could also be handy if you need advice on a sewing project and want to showcase different angles.

Topics can have different tags within each category, which helps organise all the content on the forum so it’s easy to find and interact with posts you’re interested in.

You can add a shortcut to the forum webpage to the home screen on your phone. Check out the iOS help article or Android help article to see how to do this on your phone.

What’s Next?

We’ll continue to post reminders and updates in the Stash Hub Club on Facebook for the next couple of weeks, but our main focus will shift to the forum. Over time, we’ll begin winding down activity in the Facebook group.

We’re excited to welcome you to the new Stash Hub forum and can’t wait to see the amazing discussions, projects, and connections that will flourish there. As always, we are very open to feedback. This is a space for you as much as it is for us.

See you there! 🚀

  1. This is an absolutely fabulous idea, away from algorithms, away from ads, a true likeminded community spot to gather, enabling us to explore and share. Soooo many thanks to you guys – you’re legends.
