What’s Coming to Stash Hub in 2026: Your Feedback in Action

We asked, you answered, and now we’re excited to share what’s coming to Stash Hub in 2026! Earlier, we conducted a user feedback survey to understand what features would make your sewing life even easier. The response was incredible, and we’ve been hard at work turning your suggestions into a set of updates that you’ll truly love.
Here’s a sneak peek at what’s on the horizon.

Magic Input Gets Even Smarter

Magic Input is a game-changer for quickly adding fabrics and patterns to your stash, but we know it doesn’t work perfectly with every website. In 2026, we’re making some important improvements:

  • Higher reliability: with better fallback for unsupported sites
  • Better guidance when things go wrong: Instead of just showing a warning notification when Magic Input can’t grab images, we’re introducing a helpful popup that walks you through alternative ways to add photos.
  • Faster image loading: We know images can take a little while to load so we’ll be making changes to improve this.

Filters That Work For You

Finding the perfect fabric-and-pattern combo is about to get a whole lot easier. We’re adding two major filter features:

  • Saved filters: Stop recreating the same searches over and over. Save your most-used filter combinations and access them instantly.
  • Fabric-pattern matching: This is the feature that got everyone excited in the survey! Soon you’ll be able to match fabrics to suitable patterns and patterns to compatible fabrics.

Projects Just Got Better

We heard your feedback loud and clear about the project workflow, and we’re making several improvements:

  • Photos at the top: Project photos will now appear right at the top of your project view, making it easier to see your makes at a glance.
  • “What to Make Next” wizard: Feeling stuck on what to sew? Our new wizard will help you discover your next project based on your stash, preferences, and even the season.

Customisation and Notions

  • Full-screen editing on mobile: Tired of editing descriptions and notes in a small text box? We’re making these fields full-screen on mobile devices, giving you plenty of room to capture all your thoughts, adjustments, and lessons learned.
  • Hide what you don’t use: Not every sewist needs every field – we hear you quilters and bag makers. You’ll soon be able to customise which fields are visible by default in your records.
  • Smarter notion tracking: Notions are getting a status field (similar to fabrics and patterns) so you can track what’s in your stash versus what you’ve used up. Plus, notion quantities will automatically update when you complete a project, keeping your inventory accurate without extra effort.
  • Shops overhault: We’re not 100% what this will look like yet but it’ll definitely include being able to track your own shops.

When Can You Expect These Updates?

We’ll be rolling these features out throughout 2026. We also have many other updates and plans so make sure to follow us on Instagram and keep an eye on the roadmap.

Thank You!

These updates wouldn’t be happening without your incredible feedback. The survey responses gave us clear direction on what matters most to the Stash Hub community, and we’re committed to building features that genuinely help you organize, inspire, and enjoy your sewing journey.
Have thoughts on these upcoming features or ideas for future improvements? We’d love to hear from you! Drop us an email at hello@stashhubapp.com or join the conversation on our forum.
Happy sewing!

  1. You guys work so hard to make the App just what we all need. Sometimes we don’t what we need until you produce your magic!!
Don’t know how I managed without it.
    Just love using StashHub
