Updates and New Feature – Wishlists

Fabric and Pattern Wishlists

Our first Stash Hub update of 2024 is here, and it’s a big one! We’ve added Wishlists for 1.16.0, a feature highly requested by our incredible community in the Stash Hub Club on Facebook. Wishlist now appears as an option in the status filter at the top of both Fabrics and Patterns. If there’s a particular fabric or pattern you’ve got your eye on but haven’t bought yet, you could add it to your Stash Hub and set the status to wishlist. Then, when the sales roll around or you come into a sewing voucher you can quickly browse all the fabric and patterns you’ve been lusting after.

Adding items to your wishlist instead of ordering them straight away can be a good way to shop more mindfully and reduce the amount of sewing supplies you end up having to destash.

We’ve also added ‘All’ as a status filter option, so you can browse your past, present and future stash all at once. This could be handy for making sure you don’t end up purchasing new fabric with designs too similar to those you already have in your wardrobe.

‘Just an idea’ Status for Projects

Sometimes it’s fun to dream up sewing project ideas, even if you never get around to sewing them. That’s why we’ve added ‘Just an Idea’ as a Project status. These plans don’t show up in your ‘Incomplete’ project list (which includes your in progress projects, plans and items for repair), but you can view your project ideas in the ‘Just an idea’ status filter or by viewing ‘All’. This means you have somewhere to save your pipedream plans, without feeling overwhelmed with a huge to-do list of projects.

You could use the ‘Just an idea’ status to dream up project ideas for fabric and patterns on your wishlist.

Priority options can be used to categorise projects to help you figure out what to work on next and what’s a lower priority. In previous versions of Stash Hub ‘Just an idea’ was a priority option rather than a status. This has now been updated to low priority.

Bug fixes and improvements

  • Filter Notions by notion subtype. Customise notion types by adding multiple subtypes (for example, zips could have subtypes of invisible, metal, open-end) and use the advanced filter within a notion type.
  • Bug fix for autofill drop down (e.g. Shop and Designer) as it wasn’t saving every time.
  • Search persists if you navigate to and from records, so you can check the details of a few different options without having to search again.
  • Lengths imported via Magic Input are in the preferred measurement units.
  • Magic Input purchase date defaults to “today”.
  • Added description field for Patterns

  1. Thank you these new options seem great. The idea of reviewing all my stash at once so I don’t repeat purchases is really helpful, especially when you have big ideas and a small budget! 😊
