This new release of Stash Hub (1.52.0) is a big one! Not only have we re-worked how viewing and editing records in Stash Hub is done, we’ve also added the ability to create different “versions” of people and better customise the types of notifications and emails you receive. Read on to find out all the details.
View and Edit modes
As we’ve added more features and fields into Stash Hub, we realise it has meant it can be harder to access the information you want quickly. Common requests have included being able to customise what fields are shown – which was the original intention of this update. However, this would have its own set of complications. So upon deeper inspection we decided to create a whole new way of viewing the data and have effectively split the record details page into a “view” mode and an “edit” mode.
The “edit” mode works much as it always has. However the “view” mode shows the record information in a more compact way and also hides the empty fields. In the “view” mode you can click into a field to edit just that field or you can swap to “edit” mode to make larger updates. Although there’s now an extra click to make edits, it’s so worth it for the cleaner view – especially as most of time spent in Stash Hub is viewing the information after the initial data entry. One thing to note: edits now need to be manually saved instead of auto-saved.

Projects are a little different, as it is more common to edit information while they’re in progress. Projects with a status of “Just An Idea”, “Planning”, “In Progress” and “For Repair” will automatically open in “edit” mode, meaning it’s really easy to keep them up to date.
Fed up of scrolling to the bottom of your “In Progress” Project to check off your to-do list? The order of the fields now change based on the status! Projects “In Progress” will have the to-do list higher up the screen, “Planning” prioritises linking the associated records and “Complete” shows your completion date pride of place.
A big thank you to the testers in the forum who gave such valuable feedback so we were really able to nail down the experience.
Versions of people
Another update is that you can now create new “versions” of people and their measurements. This effectively copies the existing record and links it to the old one. This is handy when someone you sew for (or yourself) changes size (kids grow up so fast, don’t they?). By having “versions” it means that older projects still link to the relevant measurements.
Customise communication preferences
Instead of just opting into or out of marketing emails we have broken down the different types of messages we send (or plan to send) into different categories. You can fine tune how you receive these messages as well (email and/or push notification). These preferences sync across all your devices with Stash Hub installed. You can edit them in Settings > Communication Preferences.

How to get the latest Stash Hub update
The latest version of Stash Hub is version 1.52.0. Even if you have automatic updates enabled, it’s worth checking the app store to make sure you’re on the latest version. If you use Stash Hub across multiple devices, make sure they are all updated as you may get errors if you’ve used new features then access a previous version of the app where these don’t exist.
iOS – Update via the App store https://apps.apple.com/us/app/stash-hub/id1610930077
Android – Update via the Google Play Store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hugetoothstudios.stashhub
Web – The web version of Stash Hub is updated automatically so just log in here: https://web.stashhubapp.com
We really hope you like this new update and if you have any feedback please don’t hesitate to reach out through the Help button inside the app.

Already love this app – now it’s even better! Thank you!
although I have not tried any of the new features yet, I feel like I owe you and your hubby a huge thank you for this app especially the part where I put down where the fabric is stored in my house. you cannot believe how many hours I have spent hunting down a particular fabric from my stash beforehand, and getting fabrics spread out all over my living room. this is such a time saver! so thank you!
