New Features – Sewing Project Queue and More

We’re got a really exciting new update to Stash Hub for you! We’ve taken lots of your feedback on board to make improvements to the Projects section of the Stash Hub sewing organiser app, including the much requested sewing project queue! Keep reading to find out more about what’s new and how to use the new features.

Sewing Project Queue

Are your sewing ideas piling up but you’re struggling to decide what to work on next? Enter the new Stash Hub Project Queue! You can create a list of the sewing projects you’re most excited to work on next and easily edit the order – we all know the feeling when a new plan just HAS to jump to the top of the list!

To add projects to the Queue, press and hold on a project and select whether to add it to the top or the bottom of your queue. Access your queue by tapping on the Projects title at the top of the projects screen. You can edit the order of projects within the queue by pressing and holding on a project, which gives you options to move to the top or bottom or move up or down in the queue. Check out the video tutorial below to see how to create your own sewing Project Queue.

The Project Queue is intended as a to-sew list of your upcoming projects, designed to help you keep focused and sew the plans you are really excited about. I would recommend only adding a few projects at a time – why not try adding the projects you’re hoping to work on over the next month or season?

If your immediate sewing plans change and you decide you won’t be sewing a particular project anytime soon, simply remove it from your queue. The project will still exist in the Projects section of Stash Hub but you won’t feel pressured to sew it. We want Stash Hub to help you fall in love with your stash and prioritise sewing projects that bring you joy!

Project Status

The status of each sewing project (e.g. planning, in progress, complete) is now pinned to the top of the project record, meaning you don’t have to scroll down to check or update the status. Tap on the drop down to select the status that applies to that project.

We have also added a couple of new statuses: ‘On hold’ and ‘Abandoned’. You may wish to place a project on hold if you have to wait for more supplies to arrive before you can continue or perhaps it just needs a time out whilst you muster the will to do more seam ripping (we’ve all been there!). Hopefully you can rescue your ‘On hold’ projects, but if not, they could be updated to ‘Abandoned’. Not every project works out! Keeping a record of your abandoned projects in Stash Hub can help you remember what went wrong and may provide valuable lessons for future sewing projects.

Stash Hub: Sewing organiser app project statuses are now pinned to the top of each project.

Create new records and projects

We want you to get inspired to sew as you browse your sewing collection in Stash Hub! We’ve added the option to create a new project directly from a fabric, pattern or notion, making it easier to save your ideas. Scroll to the bottom of the record to see linked projects or create a new project.

It works the other way too! You can add new records whilst your creating a project. For example, let’s say you select ‘Add Fabric’ but find that the fabric you have in mind for that project hasn’t been uploaded to Stash Hub Yet. Use the plus button in the bottom right to ‘Add New’ so you can upload your fabric and link it to your project.

Improvements for new users

Another part of this update aims to improve the Stash Hub experience for new users. This includes providing more information about how to use Stash Hub and opportunities to configure your settings.

At the log in screen, there is now an additional option to ‘Continue as Guest’. This is great for those that want to explore Stash Hub before creating an account. Bear in mind that anything saved will be lost if you log out, so make sure to create an account when you start adding your stash.

There’s a new set of onboarding screens which allow you to set your preferences for the app. This includes selecting between metric and imperial measurements and choosing your currency. You can choose whether to opt into emails with discounts and offers, view our data privacy policy and see the differences between the free version and Stash Hub Plus subscription.

We’ve added a brief tutorial which demonstates the most important buttons on the records pages. The tutorial takes you through the plus button, quick filter and sort, text search and advanced filtering so you can add your stash and find what you’re looking for.

We also have a fun new welcome screen when you first download the app. This shares the key benefits of using Stash Hub. Our mission is to help you overcome overwhelm, get organised and fall in love with your stash!

Stash Hub: Sewing organiser app welcome screen Overcome overwhelm: "Our mission is to improve your relationship with your sewing collection, help you get organised and fall back in love with your stash".

  1. Still learning about the app. This is looking so interesting. No more pinboard lists of things required
The App even has pics of fabric, details info…. can’t wait to apply this.
    Thank you

  2. This app has changed everything about the way I look at my sewing hobby. More mindful of my ideas and not just following utubers with there purchases and ideas. Now I search my own store and match patterns and fabric that is already paid for. It is so much more than just an app
